Tips for Hot Weather

The summer is here and the heat is on! We know that trying to manage your swelling in the hot summer months can be a challenge.  Here are some suggestions to try to keep you cool when the weather heats up.

Take the plunge

Taking a dip in the pool may seem like an obvious one, but water also provides an excellent natural gradient. Gradient compression stockings were designed after the natural water gradient. Conrad Jobst found relief for his severe varicose veins in a swimming pool and it is where he got the idea to use textiles to mimic the natural water gradient.

Water is also the ideal place to exercise in the hot weather. The buoyancy water provides is easy on your joints and keeps you cool. Try water walking or going for a swim to stay cool and keep fit!

Keep cool on the move

We know that wearing compression garments in the heat can be uncomfortable for some people. This is why we designed some garments to help keep you cool during the summer months.
